Anyone can create a public profile on Snapchat. Following are various steps by which we can create a public profile:
Step 1: Download the Snapchat app on your smartphone. Open the app and click on the profile icon on the left-hand top of the screen.
Step 2: Click on the ‘ Gear ’ icon on the right hand top corner.
Step 3: Scroll down to the ‘Who can’ option and you can make the following changes:-
- Contact Me – Everyone
- Send Me Notifications – Everyone
- View My Story – Everyone
- See My Location – My Friends
- Use My Cameos Selfie – Everyone
- See me in Quick Add – Turned on
Step 4: After making all the changes we need to close the app and again re-open it.
After doing the above changes you have gone public and everyone can check your profile and can contact you.

How to operate different functions on Snapchat?

Step 1: After making the above changes re-open the app, you can find a new option ‘Add to snap map’ under the ‘Add to my story’ option.
Step 2: Click on the three dots beside the ‘Add to snap map’ and then click on ‘Create public profile’ on the next screen.
Step 3: Ater that Snapchat will give a brief about ‘what public profile is.
Step 4: Ater reading all the details click on the ‘continue’ option at the bottom of the phone’s screen to proceed further.
Step 5: Click on the ‘ Get Started’ option on the screen and a pop-up message will appear on the screen.
Step 6: Click on the ‘create’ button which is in the pop-up notification to confirm.
Step 7: After creating that Snapchat will take you back to the ‘settings’ menu, and you will found a new menu named ‘ My Public Profile’.
Step 8: Click on the ‘ My Public Profile’ to get started with the new tier 1 public profile. Snapchat also offers a tier 2 public profile but for that, you need to have a minimum of 5000 subscribers and also you need to apply to Snapchat’s program using a google form available on the website of Snapchat.
